It may be avoidable, but it was not for me. No idea.Īlso, overextension is probably going to happen at some point. Maybe because I was at war in some way I had dropped below some threshhold.

It was more like 85 AE and only when I had attacked someone. Also, IIRC a coalition did not form in Asia at 50 AE. I remember when I was taking India, I had already begun to ignore AE.

I am sure some players are good enough to not have to deal with coalitions? I was not lol. Decide even before you declare the war that will put you over 50 AE with multiple countries that this will be it. To WC, you have to learn to deal with this. I think a lot of players quit or save scum when they get coalitions. Knowing when to take on a coalition and when to just ignore AE are things that take practice. Also you will eventually have to ignore AE totally. I am not nearly that good yet lol.Īlso, there is going to come a point or multiple points where you will have a coalition war(s). I am not sure I will ever try it again except maybe someday Ryukku for the Three Mountains.maybe. I have had several WC attempts that I got half finished and just didn't ever finish. I tend to try to wrap up these games the closer a major patch comes to launching. I take notes on my more serious achievement focused games so I can pick up on what I was trying to do at the time or what I was thinking. I typically have 3-5 games going on at any given point however and I will flip between them depending on how I want to play at the time. They take forever and tons of maximizing, planning, and micro-managing everything. With Admin & Influence ideas, that reduces them to much smaller amounts. At Admin tech 17, 23, and 27 coring costs and diplo-annexing a vassal become cheaper by 20% at each of those levels maxing out at 60%. This pretty much existed before cores were changed by moving your capitol around to change what was considered an overseas core.Īs the game progresses, cores and diplo annexing become cheaper. Which is essentially a 50% discount on core costs. I am not aware of any exploits related to coring.

Vassals were a massive part of handling the cost.
